Screen Yorkshire approached us with a slightly different project to what we usually design for them. They wanted a DVD case producing to hold 5 DVD’s that have all been filmed in the Yorkshire region. As well as designing the sleeve we were asked to source the print and production for 100 cases. With this being such a small quantity we worked with a local digital printer and a box manufacturer to produce the case at a very good price. This was our first piece of packaging design and are were very happy with the results.

Where has the past year gone? It seems like two minutes ago we were writing about our first birthday. They do say time flies when you are having fun. This year we have been busy building on the foundations we laid in the first year with new clients, fresh challenges and a move to our new studio. Thanks again to all the people we have worked with. We have just received the brochure for Brainbox Research back from the printers and are very pleased with the final product. The brochure which is to help promote Brainbox Research and the services that they offer was printed using 9 Lives Recycled Offset stock. National Blood Service are holding the first ever Yorkshire Blood Run on Saturday 29th August at Pontefract Park. We were asked to design a logo for the event and a mailer to attract potential runners. As the National Blood Service need blood rather than money, each runner has been asked to recruit 10 new blood donors instead of the usual sponsorship collection.

We have just completed the designs for a project that Brook Advisory Centers have been producing. The project is an e-safety campaign that is aimed at young people and delivered by adults who don’t necessarily know anything about the internet. We created a range of materials including posters, an invitation, a session plan and a findings report.

SBT have finished designing and printing the invitations, tickets and programme for Leeds Chambers Annual Dinner that took place on 30th January 2009 at The Queens Hotel, Leeds. It is the premier dinner of the Leeds business calendar with more than 500 business people attending.

The Federation of Small Businesses is the UK’s largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms. It has over 215,000 members across 33 regions and 230 branches. We hope to use its services to help grow and protect our studio.
